Town of Stow
Board Term 2019-2022

Kathy Sferra is currently Conservation Coordinator for the Town of Stow. She has more than 25 years of experience in land use planning, land acquisition and land stewardship in Massachusetts, working at Mass Audubon, the Nature Conservancy, Cape Cod Commission and Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts. Kathy is the co-author of the Massachusetts Conservation Restriction Stewardship Handbook. She has served on the board of the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions and has been a Conservation Commission member in Grafton and Stow, as well as Administrator in Belchertown. Kathy has a Masters of Regional Planning from UMass/Amherst and a BS in Environmental Education from Cornell University. She also has a strong interest in bringing her skills and training in coaching, facilitation, and leadership development to the conservation community. In her spare time, she enjoys travel and long distance running, and aspires to complete a half marathon in each of the 50 states.
